Landlord clients with the books already kept.
Your landlord clients record rent and costs as they happen, to the penny. Corrections are reversed rather than overwritten, a closed tax year stays closed, and the trial balance and SA105 figures download when you need them.
Your client adds you with the accountant role, or sends you the download.

What usually goes wrong before the books reach you.
-
Numbers that changed after you filed
A recorded entry is never edited, only reversed, and a tax year is locked when it closes. What you had in July is what’s there in January.
-
Section 24 buried in the expenses
Mortgage interest is kept out of expenses and stated on its own line of the SA105 figures, ready for the finance cost credit.
-
Improvements claimed as repairs
Your client is told at the point of entry whether a cost is a repair or an improvement, and the choice is kept with the cost.
-
Deposits counted as income
A deposit is held as money owed to the tenant. It can’t find its way into the rent.
-
VAT returns quietly rewritten
A filed return stays as filed. A correction goes in a later period, and both can be read.
-
Being asked for a login you don’t want
Take the accountant role on your client’s account, or ask for the trial balance and SA105 figures as a download.
Every figure traces back to an entry.
-
Recorded to the penny
Amounts are kept in whole pence from start to finish, so nothing arrives a penny out from rounding.
-
Every entry balances
An entry has to balance before it’s saved, and nothing changes a balance any other way.
-
Downloads now, Xero and QuickBooks soon
Download the trial balance, the SA105 figures or the entries as a file. Syncing straight to Xero or QuickBooks is coming.

The accountant role on their account is all you need, and the download is there if you’d rather not sign in.
